Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Ashley N. Dixon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapeutic services for Family 360 INC., her interest and skill are in psychotherapy and behavior modification through the use of key modalities such as solution-focused and cognitive behavior theory. Ashley began her career in social work after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Affairs in 2009 with a Masters’ in Social Work.
As a new graduate, she began working as an emergency response social worker for the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in South Los Angeles from 2009 to 2013 and has investigated more than 800 cases of child abuse. This experience gave her incredible insight and sensitivity to individuals and families from underserved populations in addition to those who have experienced trauma and those who have been involved in foster care systems.
She strongly believes in an individual’s whole-health needs; providing therapy is of great importance, however connecting individuals and families to resources and their community is of equal importance. After serving as a social worker at DFCS, Ashley chose to make both professional and personal life choices of her own, in doing so she chose to move to Georgia to be closer to family and to pursue her career in mental health.
For the past four years, Ashley has dedicated herself to the field of mental health by serving various populations as a therapist and just recently as a mental health administrator. Being a social worker is not only her pursuit but is also her passion and God-given talent. Her approach is very person-centered, patient and respectful.
